A 31-year-old woman from Zhejiang province was arrested on Tuesday for robbing a 41-year-old man of HK$343,500 and 7,000 yuan in cash, a Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesperson said yesterday during a special press conference.
According to the spokesperson, the victim surnamed Cai works as a money changer, exchanging yuan into HK dollars for gamblers in local casinos.The spokesperson said Cai received a phone call from a woman who wanted to exchange yuan to the value of HK$400,000 on the evening of April 3. The woman, surnamed Tu, asked Cai to bring the cash to a hotel room in Cotai.
