According to a statement provided by the Government Information Bureau (GCS), the Chinese, Portuguese, and English electronic editions of the government’s “Macao Yearbook 2025”, compiled by the bureau, was published yesterday, providing a detailed account of Macau’s development across its political, economic, social, and cultural sectors.

Published annually since 2002, the yearbook serves as a comprehensive chronicle of major events and progress achieved throughout the previous year, aiming to promote Macau and provide data for those studying the city’s development, the statement said.

The 2025 edition, according to the statement, includes four sections – Administrative Priorities of the MSAR Government, Calendar of Events, Review of the MSAR, and Appendices.

The Chinese edition comprises 603 pages with over 266,000 characters, while the Portuguese and English editions have 762 and 710 pages respectively, featuring 239 photographs, the statement noted.

The Review of the MSAR in 2024 contains 15 chapters covering areas such as the political and legal systems, economy, external relations, public order, tourism, education, culture and sport, social welfare, media, housing, transport, environment, religion, and history, the statement added.

Since 2016, the Macao Yearbook has only been available in digital form to encourage online reading and environmental protection, the statement noted, pointing out that the electronic editions are now accessible free of charge on the GCS website at https://yearbook.gcs.gov.mo.

Previously, it was also published in book form.
