The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from the mainland on Friday on suspicion of belonging to a criminal gang whose members robbed a man and his mother of HK$2 million in a casino-hotel resort in Nape last month, PJ spokeswoman Lei Hon Nei said during a special press conference yesterday.

Lei identified the suspect as a 29-year-old surnamed Xia.

According to Lei, the two victims told the police that they are running a currency-exchange business for gamblers.
