NOVA Mall in Taipa has launched a Christmas campaign featuring Disney’s Mickey and Friends characters, according to a statement released by the shopping centre earlier this month.
“Let’s Celebrate Christmas with Mickey & Friends” will be open to visitors until New Year’s Day. The statement described the central feature as a 16-metre-long Disney themed train in the shopping centre’s atrium.
Guests can take photos with character figures placed around the display, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck. According to the statement, the setup includes a large LED screen and several photo spots. Three interactive game booths where visitors can win Disney-themed prizes have also been set up inside the train cabins.
The statement noted that shoppers can redeem game tickets by spending 300 or 500 patacas in a single transaction at participating mall merchants.
General Manager Paul Lee Yan Kwong was quoted in the statement as saying: “Through these festive moments, we hope that children and adults alike will discover small pockets of wonder, and create memories that linger long after the holidays have passed.”
A separate promotion in partnership with TurboJet ferry services is also mentioned in the statement. From December through the Chinese New Year (CNY) period in February, select ferry sailings will feature Mickey and Minnie plush characters, and Super Class passengers will receive exclusive shuttle access to the mall.
