The Macau Government Tourism Office’s (MGTO) Macau Tourism Data plus has announced in a statement that during the National Day Golden Week Holiday (October 1-7) 8,159 visitors came to Macau.The statement noted that 7,393 of the 8,159 visitors were from the mainland, or 90.6 percent of the total. According to the statement, last year’s National Day Golden Week holiday lasted 8 days, therefore this year’s seven-day holiday period and last year’s numbers could not be compared directly.
