Lawmaker Angela Leong On Kei said yesterday she hoped that the visit by National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee Chairman Zhang Dejiang, who arrived yesterday, will bring more policies beneficial to Macau.
Leong, the executive director of SJM Holdings, made the comments after officiating over a blessing ceremony for SJM’s dragon boat team that will be taking part in the annual dragon boat competition at Nam Van Lake later this month.“It shows how much the country cares about Macau and [I] hope that [he] will bring more policies beneficial to Macau,” Leong said when asked what she thinks about Zhang’s three-day inspection visit.
