Gaming operators shall remain politically neutral in the upcoming legislative elections, Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) President Tong Hio Fong said yesterday.

The direct and indirect legislative elections will take place on September 17.

Tong, a judge by profession, told reporters after a meeting of the committee with Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) Director Paulo Martins Chan at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo that, according to the Election Law, gaming operators shall remain neutral during the elections, just like other entities.
