The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) announced in a statement yesterday its measures geared towards optimising application processes, including an “expedited application” option when applying for a Macau SAR (Special Administrative Region) passport or Macau SAR travel permit on the Macau One Account or self-service kiosks, as well as self-service machine for submitting supplementary photos for identification documents.
The statement noted that by opting for the “expedited application” option, applicants can complete the application process without visiting service counters, instead only needing to follow system instructions and paying the required fees.
Moreover, the statement said that for submitting supplementary photos, those who have received a notice from the bureau to submit them for their ID cards, Macau SAR travel documents, or visit permit to Hong Kong can complete the procedures at self-service kiosks, where they can select the “Submit a supplementary photo” option.
Among the locations are eight Government 24-hour Self-service Centres in Macau, the 24-hour Self-Service Corner at the Government Services Centre in Hengqin and the Macao Government Services 24-hour Self-Service Centre at the Macao New Neighbourhood in Hengqin, the statement said.
The statement added that after verifying their identity with a physical ID or fingerprint, users can choose a photo taken at a self-service kiosk or from the “My Photos” section of the “Macao One Account”. The submitted photo is then sent to DSI for processing.
