An installation featuring Mickey Mouse and friends is on display at NOVA Mall’s Atrium in Taipa as part of its Chinese New Year (CNY) campaign.
The “Mickey & Friends” railway station installation is showcased until March 1 and features a 16-metre-long themed railway carriage, all complemented by CNY couplets and signage featuring the Disney character. A recent statement from Nova Mall noted that also showcased are photo spots (known as “da ka” in Putonghua) featuring beloved Disney characters.
The statement added that three CNY-themed interactive game booths inside the “train station” are also available until February 22, with winners receiving Disney-themed prizes. Among them, the statement said, are plush cushions, rugs, phone lanyards, foldable travel bags, tote bags, hand towels, cardholders and drawstring pouches.
NOVA Mall General Manager Paul Lee Yan Kwong was quoted by the statement as saying: “Visitors can enjoy a surprise-filled Chinese New Year celebration alongside their beloved Disney characters”.
He added: “We hope families and loved ones can create heart-warming memories here at NOVA Mall”, highlighting the mall’s themed offerings and the various ongoing activities for the festive season, as well as sharing festive greetings.
Other activities set to take place are a Lion Dance performance at the Atrium at 1 p.m. on February 24, the seventh day of CNY, while shoppers spending a certain amount can also redeem game tickets, among others.
