Macau’s Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) and the Federation of Trade Unions (FAOM – aka Gung Luen) will jointly organise four industry-specific job matching sessions in late February, offering a total of 445 vacancies, with registration starting today, according to a statement by the bureau yesterday.

The statement said that the bureau will work with FAOM to organise four job matching sessions in late February to help local residents seeking employment and ease manpower pressure faced by employers.

The statement noted that registration will run from 9 a.m. today until 12 p.m. on February 23.

A hotel industry job matching session will be held on February 24 for the whole day at Studio City’s banquet hall on the third floor in Cotai, the statement said, adding that the participating company will be City of Dreams (COD) Resorts Limited, offering 50 vacancies including front office assistant supervisor, butler service officer, butler, customer contact centre agent, and food and beverage service staff.

Meanwhile, a supermarket retail session will take place on the afternoon of February 26 at the FAOM Vocational Skills Training Centre on the first floor of 101-105A Tai Peng Industrial Building, Phase I, on Istmo de Ferreira do Amaral, the statement noted, adding that two companies, Royal Supermarket Limited and Sunsco Supermarket, will participate, offering a total of 90 vacancies such as stock clerk, cashier, shelf filler, meat handler, seafood handler, and delivery assistant.

The statement said that a cleaning and security industries session will be held on the morning of February 27 on the second floor of the FAOM building at 2-6 Rua da Ribeira do Patane, noting that four companies will take part, namely “Winnerway Security Guards Co. Ltd”, “Waste Management Systems Company Limited” (CSR), “East Sun Cleaning Services Limited” and “Golden Dragon Services Limited”, providing 287 vacancies including security guard, cleaner, vehicle cleaning worker, street cleaning worker, and heavy vehicle driver.

In addition, an information technology (IT) industry session will be held on the afternoon of February 27 at the same venue. Two companies, Bowei Information Systems Limited and “HMN Smart (Macau) Information System Technologies Co. Limited”, will offer 18 vacancies including project manager, ICT operations and maintenance manager, project coordinator, solutions engineer, computer technician and systems analyst, the statement said.

According to the statement, job seekers who receive SMS notifications, as well as other local residents interested in attending the sessions, can register during the application period by logging into the “Macao One Account” app, entering the “job seeking services” section and selecting the “industry-specific job matching session” (https://www.dsal.gov.mo/jobseeking/app) option. Successful applicants will receive confirmation via SMS.

In the statement, the bureau urged all those interested to apply early as quotas are limited, adding that enquiries can be made during office hours on 8399 9885 or 8399 9886, or through the FAOM job referral department on 2856 9362.
