According to the spokesperson, a fire erupted outside an electrical appliance shop inside the Camões Commercial Centre in Avenida do Ouvidor Arriaga at about 11 a.m. on April 3. The shop’s rear gate was blackened by smoke. No-one was injured.
The spokesperson said the police found a homeless man, who is the suspect in the case, during a search of the centre. The man, surnamed Sam, denied having set the fire right in front of the rear gate.
