The Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) released an investigative report yesterday about the possible cancellations of home ownership scheme (HOS) purchase contracts of applicants who themselves, or members of their household, have become owners of a private residential property while waiting for the HOS deeds to be signed.

The CCAC also acts as Macau’s ombudsman.

The Housing Bureau (IH) said in a statement last month that it had cancelled the HOS purchase contracts of 61 applicants, after IH officials discovered that the applicants themselves, or members of their household, owned a residential property.
