The flying of unmanned aircraft or drones will be banned during the 2026 Macao International Parade this Sunday, being effective from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) announced in a statement yesterday.

The statement noted that the ban aims to ensure that the event will be conducted smoothly. “Groups or individuals who previously obtained an activity permit from the Authority to operate unmanned aircraft on the above date must also comply with this no-fly ban”, according to the statement, pointing out that violations will result in penalties imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority pursuant to Paragraph 2 of Article 59 of Law No. 4/2025 (Civil Aviation Activity Law).
