The Macau Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) will be hosting two family-friendly activities this month, with registration open until Tuesday, April 7.
Held in Cantonese, the local observatory said in a statement yesterday that the activities are aimed at offering participants a fun way to explore meteorological science and enhance their understanding of Macau’s meteorological services and operations thorough interactive and engaging experiences.
Among these activities are a family trip slated for April 18, allowing young participants to take part in activities such as acting as a junior weather forecaster and learning more about typhoon signals in an interactive way, the statement noted. This activity is aimed at children aged between four and eight, and their parents.
The other activity is slated for April 25 and targets children aged six to 12, along with their parents, and will feature experiencing weather detection, interactive games and weather workshops, according to the statement.
The statement added that both of the upcoming activities will include tours to learn about the meteorological facilities.

A lucky draw will be held if participants exceed the limit. Results will be available on April 10, the statement said.
