The public Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre (CPTTM) honoured 134 local enterprises at its “2026 Macao Enterprises International Management Certification Award Presentation Ceremony” yesterday, recognising companies that have continuously maintained international management certifications.

The ceremony was held at the Macau Science Centre (MSC) in Nape, where awards were presented based on the number of consecutive years companies have been awarded certifications, including gold, silver and bronze awards.

A new “Integrated Management Achievement Award” was also introduced to recognise exemplary enterprises. This marks the third consecutive year the productivity centre has organised the ceremony.

In addition to recognising companies that have maintained certifications for more than six, 12 and 20 years, the newly added award honours firms that have been awarded certifications in quality management, environmental management, and occupational safety and health, with at least one gold award among them. The recognised certifications cover areas such as quality management, environmental management, occupational safety and health, food safety, information security, and energy management.

Award-winning enterprises come from sectors including public utilities, food production, security services, cleaning services and construction, reflecting the tangible progress made in management systems, risk control and continuous improvement, according to a CPTTM statement yesterday.

Addressing the ceremony, CPTTM President Victoria Alexa Kuan Chan highlighted that 2026 marks the centre’s 30th anniversary. “Today, we gather to witness this important moment, celebrating the remarkable achievements of local enterprises that have gained international recognition through professionalism, perseverance and innovation,” she said. Kuan noted that over the past three decades, the centre has worked closely with local enterprises, supporting their transformation from “quantity” to “quality”.

“In a rapidly changing era, robust management systems and sound risk control are not only tools to address uncertainties, but also key to turning challenges into opportunities and achieving sustainable growth,” Kuan noted, adding that since the launch of the “International Management Certification and Accreditation Subsidy Programme” in 1996, the centre has received over 850 applications from local enterprises, reflecting their commitment to excellence and international standards.

According to the statement, the centre will continue expanding support for international certifications through training and technical assistance, encouraging more enterprises to enhance competitiveness and contributing to Macau’s long-term economic development.
