The Cultural Affairs Bureau’s (IC) Public Library will continue its “Mobile Library” outreach services from this month until June to promote reading while providing convenient outreach services, with a mobile library to be stationed at various districts.

According to a recent statement from the bureau, book reading and browsing, “World of Stories” storytelling sessions, and on-the-spot public library card registration are among the activities set to take place at each stop during its continuing “Where culture flourishes, happiness happens” – “Mobile Library” Outreach Services. The statement added that the initiative welcomes all to participate and “enjoy the pleasure of reading”.

With a variety of locations to be featured, the statement said that the stops will include leisure areas, parks and squares, among others, across Macau, taking books and reading activities into outdoor spaces. The mobile library will be scheduled in select areas mainly from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

More information on the specific areas, along with the schedule of activities, can be found by visiting  www.library.gov.mo and the “MyLibrary” mobile app.
