A small crowd attended the annual June 4 candlelight vigil organised by grassroots lawmakers Au Kam San and Ng Kuok Cheong in Largo do Senado yesterday.

The duo, both veteran lawmakers and leaders of the Macau Democratic Development Union, have been organising the annual vigil since 1990 to commemorate the June 4 incident in Beijing in 1989.

Footage of the incident was shown, tribute songs were sung, and leaflets about the background of the incident were handed out to participants during the vigil.
