The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday that it will launch a month-long summer promotion for its Online Bookshop starting tomorrow through July 31, offering readers a 20 percent discount on all publications and complimentary themed bookmarks while stocks last.

According to the statement, during the promotion, customers will receive a 20 percent discount on more than 380 books and periodicals available through the Online Bookshop. Each transaction will also include a complimentary set of “The Firecracker Industry in Taipa” bookmarks, subject to availability.

The bureau has also added several new titles to its catalogue, including “Mong-Há”, “Duet of Nature: Ming and Qing Landscape Paintings from the National Museum of China”, “Renowned in Business – Macao Merchants in Historical Archives”, and “City Imprints II: Maps from the Archives of Macao (trilingual edition)”, the statement noted.

The Online Bookshop offers publications in traditional and simplified Chinese, Portuguese, and English, covering history, literature, visual arts, performing arts, culture and academic research, the statement said, adding that readers can place orders online, pay electronically and choose either delivery through the Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau’s (CTT) Express Mail Service (EMS) or collect their purchases at IC public libraries.

The summer promotion runs until July 31, the statement said, noting that more information is available on the IC Online Bookshop website (https://www.icm.gov.mo/bookshop) or through the bureau’s enquiry hotline 8399 6220 and email publications@icm.gov.mo
