The Cultural Affairs Bureau’s (IC) “Where Culture Flourishes, Happiness Happens” – “Mobile Library” Outreach Services programme is continuing to welcome members of the public to discover and take part in the joy of reading, with its mobile library continuing to visit local districts from this month through September.

From the peninsula to Taipa and Coloane, the city’s districts will see the Mobile Library parked at certain points mainly from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., according to a statement from the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) on Friday. The public library website meanwhile highlighted that the ‘Mobile Library’ will have eight sessions per month, with no registration required.

“The ‘Mobile Library’ outreach services bring library resources and diverse reading activities to outdoor community spaces, spreading a reading atmosphere throughout the community and injecting the city with cultural vitality”, the bureau pointed out in the statement.

Activities on offer are suitable for all ages and include on-site book reading, library card registration and “Story World” storytelling sessions.

The statement highlighted that certain sessions towards the end of August will be held as part of the ongoing “3rd Macao International Children’s Arts Festival”, which recently kicked off and has a variety of events slated for its programme.

The detailed list of parking locations, including those that were newly added, and the respective timetables can be found on https://www.library.gov.mo/en/
