Sands China recently garnered 14 awards, including the “Employee Experience Awards Grand Winner”, at the Employee Experience Awards Hong Kong 2026, being the company with the most awards this year “among many notable organisations from different sectors”, the integrated resort operator said in a statement earlier this week.
The “Employee Experience Awards” was established by Human Resources Online, a human resources platform in Asia, and is the region’s only peer-reviewed HR awards programme exclusively focused on employee experience.
The awards Sands China received, the statement said, recognise the company’s “comprehensive, effective, and innovative human resources strategy”.
The accolades comprise the “Employee Experience Awards Grand Winner”, the “Triple Crown of Employee Excellence”, four gold awards, seven silver awards, and one bronze award.
The statement quoted Sands China Senior Vice President of Human Resources Paulo Cheong (張國軍) as saying: “We are deeply honoured to receive 14 awards, including the Grand Winner title, at the Employee Experience Awards Hong Kong this year. This recognition not only reflects the remarkable outcomes of our well-rounded human resources strategy, but also serves as encouragement and motivation for us to continue progressing and fostering talent for Macau”.
Cheong added that the company will continue to launch “effective and outstanding human resources initiatives to support team members’ growth while also contributing to the high-quality development of Macau talent and the city’s appropriate economic diversification.”
Sands China is Macau’s largest private employer, having over 28,000 staff members, with more than half working for the company for a decade or longer, the statement said. The company was also recently awarded the “Top Employer” certification by the Top Employer Institute for the second consecutive year.
