Collective Wisdom Policy Centre Vice-President Chan Ka Leong said yesterday that converting the western side of the Barrier Gate Plaza from a casino shuttle bus area into a public bus terminus would instantly alleviate the public transportation problems in the area.

The local think tank held a press conference yesterday about a study they conducted on optimising temporary bus stops at the Barrier Gate and related replanning of the area, on the association’s premises in Avenida de Horta e Costa.

The group is an affiliate of the Macau General Union of Neighbourhood Associations (commonly known as Kai Fong).
