Thirty projects have been shortlisted for the Cultural Affairs Bureau’s (IC) second-phase “Local View Power”, having been chosen out of the 74 submissions made during the open call.
The call for proposals was made earlier this year.
According to a statement by the bureau on Wednesday, the 30 projects are divided into documentaries, short features, and animation, with the list of works available by visiting the bureau’s website on www.icm.gov.mo .
According to the statement, those shortlisted are required to attend a workshop organised by the bureau and submit “a detailed video production plan (including a detailed shooting script) and the respective budget plan” on or before August 31, while candidates will also be invited to a meeting with the jury later in September.
Over 170 local films have been produced through the programme since 2007, as noted by the bureau in the Local View Power regulations. The programme’s overall aim is to “encourage the production of diverse local cinematic works and is committed to nurturing the rising talent of Macau’s new generation of filmmakers”, as noted in the regulations.
One can find more programme details by visiting the bureau’s website.
