A 30-year-old businesswoman from the mainland has been raped by a male compatriot in a hotel room in Cotai, Judiciary Police (PJ) spokesman Choi Ian Fai said yesterday at a regular press conference.
The 25-year-old suspect, surnamed Meng, who claims to be a businessman, first met the woman in Foshan, a city some 100 km north of Macau. On Monday, the woman and three female friends came to Macau for a holiday and to gamble. The woman then contacted Meng and met him in a casino in Cotai. The suspect booked a room for the woman and her friends. The next night, the suspect invited the four to dinner, and the three friends left early. The suspect and the victim stayed in the restaurant until late chatting and then went to the suspect’s room, according to Choi.
When they got to the room, the suspect pushed the victim on to the bed and started touching her all over her body especially her intimate parts. The victim struggled but it only got the suspect more excited and he removed her underwear and raped the victim without a condom, according to Choi.
