MPay, Macau’s first multifunction mobile payment app, has announced a new feature allowing users to transfer wallet balances directly to personal bank accounts.
The update is being launched in phases; it started on Wednesday and is slated to be concluded on Monday next week, requiring the MPay app to be updated to version 6.2.7 or higher.
MPay made the announcement in its website earlier this week.
Key Features & Limits
Eligibility: Available only for Grade 3A and Grade 3B verified users.
Bank Binding: Transfers are restricted to personal bank accounts linked to the user's name, such as Macau Development Bank or Ant Bank (Macau).
Grade 3A Quotas: 10,000 patacas yearly free limit, plus up to 40,000 patacas yearly via paid service (0.3 percent fee rate). Single transfer ceiling is 8,000 patacas, with a daily limit of 20,000 patacas.
Grade 3B Quotas: 30,000 patacas yearly free limit, plus up to 120,000 yearly via paid service (0.25 percent fee rate). Single transfer ceiling is 20,000 patacas, with a daily limit of 50,000 patacas.
Promotional Campaign: All users get their first transfer free of charge through December 31, 2026, without affecting the annual free quota.
How to Transfer
Open the MPay app and tap "Mine" (我的) in the bottom right corner.
Select "Transfer to Bank" (轉出至銀行).
Choose your bound personal bank account and enter the transfer amount.
