Hengqin has launched a “talent card” programme for top Macau-Hengqin talent, according to a statement by Hengqin’s Talent Development and Social Security Bureau yesterday.
A presentation session about the programme was held in Hengqin on Monday, according to the statement.
The session also included a signing ceremony with the programme’s three partner banks.
The statement said that the programme aims to promote the integration and alignment of public services for talent between Macau and Hengqin.
The statement said that the Macau-Hengqin Talent Card will enable its holders to connect with the services provided by Guangdong Province’s talent-card programme and with the Macau-Zhuhai-Hengqin talent service framework, empowering talent working and living in Hengqin and providing a one-stop service support for them to set down roots, innovate, and launch ventures across Macau and Hengqin.
The statement said that the Macau-Hengqin Talent Card stems from the practical needs of talent living and working across Macau and Hengqin. It embeds service ideals into everyday practice, targeting key pain points* in cross-border living and working. By consolidating diverse benefits such as streamlined border clearance, healthcare, cross-border banking, and entrepreneurial support, it weaves respect and care for talent into every service detail, serving as a major innovative measure to deepen Macau-Hengqin talent synergy and optimise life-cycle talent services.
Eligible applicants for the Macau-Hengqin Talent Card include beneficiaries of current talent acquisition programmes in Hengqin, Macau, Zhuhai, or Guangdong.
These talent acquisition programmes cover foreign nationals.
The Macau-Hengqin Talent Card holders can benefit from various privileged public services across Macau and Hengqin, including healthcare, housing, public administration services, entrepreneurship support, and Macau-Hengqin border immigration clearance, the statement pointed out.
