Macau recorded some 415,000 visitor arrivals during the Chinese mainland’s three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period between Friday and Sunday, an increase of 19.5 percent from last year’s corresponding period, the Public Security Police Force (PSP) said in a statement yesterday.
In Macau, the day following the Mid-Autumn Festival is a public holiday, rather than the festival day itself. Civil servants were also on holiday yesterday as this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival public holiday fell on a Saturday.
According to daily immigration statistics released by the Public Security Police Force during the period, Macau recorded 141,898 visitor arrivals on Friday, 171,566 on Saturday, and 101,968 on Sunday. Consequently, Macau recorded a total of 415,432 visitor arrivals during the three-day period.
Macau recorded 40.069 million visitor arrivals in 2025, the highest annual number on record.
Macau’s previous record of visitor arrivals of 39.406 million was achieved in pre-pandemic 2019.
Macau recorded 4.478 million visitor arrivals last month, setting a new monthly record. The previous record stood at 4.219 million in August last year.
