The “Small Format 26’ Exhibition – Unexpected Macau” is taking place at the H2H (Hold on to Hope) gallery at Ka Ho in Coloane, having kicked off on Saturday and concluding its run on October 25.

A total of 15 photographers are showcasing their works in this edition, with over 40 works on display at the free-admission exhibition.

The exhibition is held by the Halftone – Macau Photographic Association in conjunction with the Association of Rehabilitation of Drug Abusers of Macau (ARTM). According to a statement by the Hold On To Hope Project, this edition “celebrates the beauty of small-scale photography while supporting a philanthropic cause”, all the while continuing the “small-format” concept introduced in 2024 and 2025.

The “H2H Project” is an ARTM initiative created to help ARTM residents before they get reinstated into society.

The works on display reflect each photographer’s “creative interpretations of an unexpected Macau, offering fresh perspectives on familiar places and urban forms, inviting new ways of seeing and understanding the city and its livelihood”, the statement said. Meanwhile, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of works will be donated to ARTM, supporting the association’s work.
