The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) continues to promote reading across various districts through December, with events such as “Where culture flourishes, happiness happens” – Book for Book activity, the “Mobile Library” outreach service, and the “Introduction to Macao Public Library Resources and Services” Community Exhibition scheduled throughout the period.
In a statement on Tuesday, the bureau noted that the first session of the book for book activity will be held this weekend at the leisure area at Lok Yeung Fa Yuen Bldg, being also extended to Seac Pai Van in Coloane next month. Meanwhile, the session originally scheduled in Praça de Amizade will be relocated to Rua Marginal do Lam Mau due to construction works, the statement added.
The concurrent community exhibition will meanwhile present illustrated introductions about local public libraries and the “10-Minute Reading” Incentive Scheme, among others, the statement said.
The bureau’s Mobile Library will also continue to make its way to the city’s different districts each weekend until December, providing services ranging from book browsing to library card applications, according to the statement.
