The “31st Macao International Trade & Investment Fair” (MIF), the “2026 Portuguese Speaking Countries Products and Services Exhibition (Macao)” (PLPEX), and the “Macao Franchise Expo 2026” (MFE) will be held simultaneously from next Wednesday through Saturday (October 21-24) at The Venetian Macao’s Cotai Expo, attracting around 1,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions worldwide, Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) President Che Weng Keong announced at a press conference yesterday.
The press conference for the three events was held at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Cooperation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, aka Forum Macao Complex, in Sai Van yesterday.
Che noted that this year’s events themed “Macao: The Global Hub of Business Convergence” will run across all three exhibitions, with the aim of deepening practical cooperation between China and Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries and expanding into Latin American and Spanish-speaking markets.
Che pointed out that covering a total area of 30,000 square metres, the three exhibitions will bring together more than 1,500 buyers from around the world that have been invited to participate.
According to an IPIM statement, the exhibition content will comprehensively cover Macau’s key “1+4” industries, consisting of (1) the further upgrading of integrated tourism and leisure businesses, and (4) high-tech innovation, Big Health including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), modern finance, MICE, culture, and sport.
Meanwhile, more than 90 activities will be held during the four-day event, including 10 themed business matching sessions, on-site visits, and industry forums, the statement said.
The statement underscored that several artificial intelligence (AI) technology enterprises will showcase innovative products, including an open platform for humanoid robots, an AI scent generator, exoskeleton robots, an AI management assistant, and an instant glasses-free 3D photo printing tool.
The first day of the three exhibitions (October 21) will be designated as Trade Visitors Day, while admission will be free to the public over the following three days (October 22-24). More than 20,000 gifts have been prepared by the organisers, the statement said.
Four shuttle bus routes will be provided to and from the venue.
