Health Bureau suspects 4 clinics selling ‘inappropriate’ medicines

The Health Bureau (SSM) has raided seven clinics, four of which are suspected of having “inappropriately” prescribed anticancer medicines worth about 80 million patacas, according to a statement by the bureau yesterday.

The statement identified the clinics as Taivexmalo Day Hospital, Vita Medical Centre, The Doctor Clinic, and Hua Ao Medical Centre.

The statement said the bureau was still investigating if the Love Heart Medical Centre and Excel Clinic violated any regulations while the Kind Care Medical Centre had complied with all regulations.
