The city’s second Wushu Masters Challenge, slated to take place on August 10-13, will spotlight major wushu competitions and training courses, the Sports Bureau (ID) and Wushu General Association of Macau (WGAM) said yesterday.
According to the two organisers, which co-hosted a press conference at Macau Tower yesterday, the event will mainly focus on dragon and lion dances, as well as the two wushu disciplines of taolu and sanda.
While ‘wushu’ is Putonghua for martial arts, ‘taolu’ means ‘forms’ and ‘sanda’ means ‘sparring’.
