Narrow streets give impression of repetitive roadworks: new IACM vice-chief

Newly-appointed Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) Vice President Lo Chi Kin said yesterday that many streets in Macau are narrow – and this was one of the reasons that residents felt that disruptions caused by roadworks were particularly severe.

Lo made the remarks while speaking to reporters after his swearing-in ceremony at the IACM headquarters in Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro.

Lo headed the bureau’s Public Roads and Sewerage Department from 2010 until March when he was appointed acting vice-president of the bureau.
