Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) Senior Service Division Chief Lo Sok Ha said yesterday she was confident that all 196 items in the short-term phase of the 10-Year Elderly Services Action Plan will be completed this year according to plan.
Lo made the remarks when addressing a forum about elderly care hosted by the Alliance for Common People Building Up Macau (API) at its headquarters in Areia Preta. About 30, mostly senior citizens, attended the forum.
According to Lo, 159 items in the short-term phase have already been implemented, with 96 items completed. The remaining 39 items will be completed by the end of the year, Lo pledged.
