Teppanyaki master Junichi Yoshida, whose own Michelin-starred restaurant in Tokyo is known for its “Ultimate Crispy Steak”, was recently in town to show the proper way to prepare wagyu steak at Wynn Palace.
“Teppanyaki” (“iron plate grill”) is a style of Japanese cuisine and “wagyu” means Japanese cattle.
Yoshida joined Wynn in 2015 to be its teppanyaki specialist for the company’s Japanese restaurant Mizumi, which showcases Japanese culinary art through sushi, tempura and teppanyaki.
