The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) has received the political platforms and final lists of candidates of 25 groups for the direct election and six groups for the indirect election, according to a statement by the government-appointed committee yesterday.
Yesterday was the deadline for handing the political platforms and final lists of candidates to the committee.
All the direct and indirect election groups submitted their required paperwork one by one between June 20 and yesterday’s 5:45 p.m. deadline. While most of the groups informed reporters beforehand so that they could cover the submissions, others preferred to hand in their political platforms and final lists of candidates without telling the media in advance.
