The Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) announced yesterday that it will issue another set of guidelines next week which will demand that all groups running in the upcoming legislative elections remove all “pre-campaign” status updates or video clips after the committee releases the final list of approved groups.

The direct and indirect legislative elections will take place on September 17. A record 25 groups are running in the direct election.

Committee President Tong Hio Fong made the remarks after a regular meeting of the government-appointed body at the Public Administration Building in Rua do Campo, pointing out that the official campaign period runs from September 2-15, adding no campaign activities should be carried out until then.
