The Judiciary Police (PJ) and Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) held a meeting with representatives of local telecom operators yesterday to discuss measures that can be taken against phone scams, the police said in a statement yesterday.
The government called the urgent meeting amid the recent wave of phone scams, the statement said.
According to the statement, representatives of CTM, China Telecom (Macau), Hutchison Telephone (Macau) and SmarTone, in addition to CTT officials and PJ officers attended the meeting at the CTT headquarters in the city centre.
