Wynn Resorts (Macau) recently made a donation of 80 million patacas to the University of Macau Development Foundation (UMDF) to support the long-term development of the University of Macau (UM) and its Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM), Wynn said in a statement yesterday.

A cheque presentation ceremony was held last month where Wynn Resorts (Macau) President and Executive Director Linda Chen presented a cheque to UM Council Chair and Chair of the Trustees Committee of UMDF Peter Lam Kam Seng, as well as UM Rector and Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of UMDF Zhao Wei.

“Wynn has always supported the development of education and the nurturing of local talents as the company strongly believes that education is the foundation of a society’s most important values: knowledge and culture,” the statement from the gaming operator said, describing its donation to UM as “one of its most far-reaching corporate social responsibility initiatives”.
