Macau Pass, in collaboration with China Guangfa Bank (CGB) Macau Branch and Guangdong E-Serve United Co. Ltd. (E-Serve), yesterday launched a card service for local residents who have mainland registration plates on their Macau-registered cars so that they can apply in Macau to use the mainland’s electronic toll collection (ETC) services.

The launching ceremony of the service was held at The Plaza Restaurant in Zape yesterday.

According to Wikipedia, ETC determines whether the cars passing are enrolled in the programme, alerts enforcers for those that are not, and electronically debits the accounts of registered car owners without requiring them to stop.
