Galaxy Macau’s Festiva buffet restaurant has been ordered to stop serving raw and cold seafood after 25 people suffered from gastroenteritis after eating at the restaurant, Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) said in statement yesterday.
Since Thursday last week, IACM’s Food Safety Centre has received seven reports involving 25 people affected by gastroenteritis after eating at Festiva.
According to the statement, Food Safety Centre inspectors went to assess the hygiene environment of the restaurant and lab tests of food specimens from the restaurant showed that the seafood served at its barbeque counter may possibly be the cause of the incidents.
