The Environmental Protection Bureau (DSPA) said in a statement yesterday that due to a case pending in the Administrative Court (TA) about the Macau Wastewater Treatment Plant, the opening of the sealed bids for the plant’s operating and maintenance concession, which was originally scheduled to take place yesterday morning, was suspended sine die.
Talking to The Macau Post Daily over the phone last night, a DSPA spokesperson said that as “someone has submitted an application to the court to suspend the public tender process thus it has been cancelled.”
The spokesperson declined to reveal who requested the suspension of the public tender, adding that the process could be relaunched after the court announces its ruling.
