Lawmaker-cum-building contractor Mak Soi Kun said yesterday that more than half of government officials failed to reply to his and fellow lawmaker Zheng Anting’s written interpellations within the required 30 days during the fifth legislative term (2013-2017), adding the situation showed that some government officials did not pay sufficient attention to the matters raised by lawmakers.

Mak and Zheng, both board members of the Macau Jiangmen Communal Society, held a joint press conference about their 2013-2017 legislative work at the association’s headquarters in Zape.

Both Mak and Zheng are seeking re-election in the direct legislative election next month.
