Signal No 8 for Pakhar, 8 injured

After deadly Typhoon Hato hit Macau on Wednesday, the Observatory hoisted the No. 8 signal yesterday morning for Typhoon Pakhar which remained raised for seven hours and caused minor flooding in some areas in the Inner Harbour area.

The government said yesterday that eight people were slightly injured during Typhoon Pakhar.

The Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) hoisted typhoon signal No. 8 at 6 a.m. yesterday after it had hoisted the No. 3 signal at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. The bureau hoisted the No. 1 signal at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. All typhoon signals were lowered at 10 p.m. yesterday.
