Yamazato restaurant in Hotel Okura Macau is offering guests a rare opportunity to enjoy a kaiseki culinary experience featuring the best from the ancient Japanese capital Kyoto, which has been created by the Michelin-starred chef from the award-winning Awata Sanso restaurant in Kyoto.
Kaiseki haute cuisine is a traditional multi-course meal that is elaborately prepared and elegantly presented. The kaiseki meal that Yamazato is currently offering is created by Daisuke Usui, executive chef of Kyoto Hotel Okura’s Awata Sanso restaurant. Led by Usui, the restaurant has received multiple awards, including a Michelin star for eight consecutive years.
Because of his duties at Awata Sanso, Usui was only able to stay in Macau for three days where he created a range of Kyoto classic dishes for the special kaiseki lunch and dinner menus.
