Eight-time Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix winner and two-wheel “King of Macau” Michael Rutter said yesterday that winning in Macau was getting more difficult.

Rutter made the remarks in an interview on the sidelines of an event during which dozens of drivers and riders “competed” with some local pupils, not on the Guia Circuit, but on the football field of the Olympic Sports Centre in Taipa.

The British rider, who couldn’t count how many times he has participated in the city’s Grand Motorcycle Prix, talked about his feelings towards the Guia Circuit, “You know, it’s amazing. Every time you go away from here, you do miss it, you know, it’s got something special.”
