Secretary for Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac said in the legislature’s hemicycle yesterday that the former premises of the Government Information Bureau (GCS) will be used as a venue for youth start-ups as well as an office for the Tourist Police unit.
The five-storey building next to Sao Domingos Church in the city centre has been mostly empty for 11 years since the info bureau moved to its current premises in China Plaza.
The government said late last year that it planned to use the building as a venue for youth start-ups.
