Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On will attend this year’s Guangdong-Macau Joint Cooperation Conference in Guangzhou on Monday, the Macau Government Information Bureau (GCS) announced yesterday.
Guangdong Governor Ma Xingrui will also attend the conference, according to the announcement.
The GCS announcement quoted a statement by the Macau Government Spokesperson’s Office as saying that the conference will assess the outcome of the two sides’ cooperation in 2017, namely concerning the joint promotion of the establishment of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), the development in infrastructure link and the joint participation in the central government’s Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative.
According to the statement, Secretary for Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac and Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo do Rosario will join Chui’s delegation.
