Newly-appointed Cultural Affairs Bureau President (IC) Cecilia Tse Heng Sai said yesterday that her bureau will properly protect the city’s cultural heritage while ensuring the city’s continuous urban development.

Tse made the remarks while speaking to reporters after her swearing-in ceremony at the bureau in Praça do Tap Seac. The ceremony was witnessed by Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng who oversees the bureau.

Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On appointed Tse last week as the bureau’s president for a one-year term effective from yesterday.
