MTel Chairman and CEO Michael Choi Tak Meng said yesterday he was confident that his company’s network will cover 99 percent of the city’s residential building by the end of this year as required by its licence agreement with the government.
Choi spoke to reporters yesterday on the sidelines of a media lunch hosted by his company, at The Plaza Restaurant in Zape.
According to previous news reports, the company’s licence agreement with the government requires its network to cover 30 percent of residential buildings by the end of 2014, 70 percent by the end of 2016, and 99 percent by the end of this year.
