Culture chief’s sick leave won’t affect bureau: Tam

Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng revealed at the weekend that Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) President Cecilia Tse Heng Sai has been on sick leave for two weeks, but insisted that her absence will not affect the bureau’s operations.

Tam said the bureau have temporarily been headed by Kent Ieong Chi Kin, its vice-president. The bureau has two vice-presidents but one of the posts is currently vacant.

Tam made the remarks while speaking to reporters on Saturday on the sidelines of an event at the Macau Science Centre in Nape.
